New show to highlight all aspects of rescue activities, fire safety and public safety

Messe Dortmund invites municipal decision-makers and those with a passion for rescue and fire-fighting to the very first 112RESCUE show between 14 and 17 June 2023. The new forum for the industry and its suppliers will cover all essential aspects of public safety and emergency response at one excellent event.

Dortmund, 2 May 2023 – The new 112RESCUE show between 14 and 17 June will focus on leading-edge technologies, applications and products for use in serious hazard situations. The event in Dortmund will showcase specialist vehicles, equipment options for fire and rescue stations and operations centres as well as medical equipment, measurement equipment, extinguishing hardware and resources, communication and control centre equipment plus a whole range of personal protective equipment. This new forum is aimed at producers, buyers and practical users in Germany and neighbouring European countries. Equally, the target audience includes people in local government, municipalities, aid agencies, support services, science and research, vocational education and skills training. A major convention programme of specialist conferences and symposia plus a varied supporting programme will add even more great content to this new show. The show’s program can be found on www.112rescue.de/en-gb/programm

Dual patronage

The show's patrons are two government ministries: the North Rhine Westphalia State Ministry of the Interior and the NRW State Ministry of Labour, Health & Social Affairs. “The Covid pandemic, the major flood disaster in the summer of 2021, the Ukraine war and other potentially dangerous developments have shown how far-reaching complex crises can become. One of the tasks of the Ministry of Labour, Health & Social Affairs is to enhance and strengthen both acute and preventive health care, and that includes rescue services and civil defence. At the new 112RESCUE fire protection, rescue, disaster control and civil defence show, decision-makers and users will find comprehensive, up-to-date information on rescue services, crisis management, health protection and preventive action plans for civil defence emergencies,” said Bernd Schnäbelin, Head of the Department of Rescue & Civil Defence Health Matters at the North Rhine Westphalia Ministry of Labour, Health & Social Affairs, underlining the importance of the informative aspects of the new show.
